About Me

About Me

Greetings, I'm Jason Dutcher, and my journey is a blend of IT expertise and a newfound passion for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I've spent over 7 years excelling in IT roles, with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a robust background in Agile methodologies, including certifications such as SAFe® 6 Scrum Master (SSM) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Over the past year, my career has taken a fascinating and rewarding turn. I'm currently pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Geography and Geospatial Sciences. My professional intentions have been driven by a profound interest in mapping, spatial data analysis, and the power of location intelligence.

My past roles as a Software Project Coordinator, IT Marketing Systems Analyst, and Information Technology Service Engineer have honed my skills in cross-functional team leadership, project management, data analytics, and effective communication. My combined experiences have allowed me to channel these skills into the GIS field, where I foresee immense potential for innovation and problem-solving.

I believe in the power of data and technology as it relates to how we understand and interact with the world around us. My goal is to leverage my IT experience and multi-disciplinary mindset to create geospatial solutions that have a real impact on businesses and communities. In this exciting journey, I'm continuously learning, exploring, and pushing boundaries in the realm of GIS.

I look forward to the opportunity to connect and explore how my diverse background and passion for GIS can contribute to your organization's mission and vision.
